LAFAYETTE, La. (KLFY)- Today's summit at the LITE center featured flood experts from several states who shared their best practices and how they could be applied in Louisiana.
Pat Forbes, with the Louisiana Office of Community Development says, the state must come together and change the way it addresses flood risks.
State officials plan to meet with flood management experts Wednesday to come up with a plan to apply new ways to improve reducing flood risks.
