The Delta Regional Authority works to improve regional economic opportunity by helping create jobs, build communities, and improve the lives of the 10 million people in the 252 counties and parishes of the eight-state Delta region.

The U.S. Economic Development Administration's investment policy is designed to establish a foundation for sustainable job growth and the building of durable regional economies throughout the United States. This foundation builds upon two key economic drivers: innovation and regional collaboration.

Headquartered in Washington, D.C., with ten regional offices across the country, the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) employs more than 20,000 people nationwide. They leverage a tremendous capacity to coordinate within the federal government to ensure America is equipped to prepare for and respond to disasters.

The Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) is an agency within the U.S. Department of Transportation that supports State and local governments in the design, construction, and maintenance of the Nation’s highway system (Federal Aid Highway Program) and various federally and tribal-owned lands (Federal Lands Highway Program). Through financial and technical assistance to State and local governments, the Federal Highway Administration is responsible for ensuring that America’s roads and highways continue to be among the safest and most technologically sound in the world.

The Federal Transit Administration (FTA) provides financial and technical assistance to local public transit systems, including buses, subways, light rail, commuter rail, trolleys, and ferries. FTA also oversees safety measures and helps develop next-generation technology research.

The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) is made up of 29 agencies and offices with nearly 100,000 employees who serve the American people at more than 4,500 locations across the country and abroad. They provide leadership on food, agriculture, natural resources, rural development, nutrition, and related issues based on public policy, the best available science, and effective management.

The Department of Commerce’s mission is to create the conditions for economic growth and opportunity for all communities. Through its 13 bureaus, the Department works to drive U.S. economic competitiveness, strengthen the domestic industry, and spur the growth of quality jobs in all communities across the country.

The Environmental Protection Agency protects people and the environment from significant health risks, sponsors and conducts research, and develops and enforces environmental regulations.

The National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA), located within the Department of Commerce, is the Executive Branch agency that is principally responsible by law for advising the President on telecommunications and information policy issues. NTIA’s programs and policymaking focus primarily on expanding broadband internet access and adoption in America, expanding the use of spectrum by all users, and ensuring that the internet remains an engine for continued innovation and economic growth.

The Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC) charters, regulates and supervises all national banks and federal savings associations as well as federal branches and agencies of foreign banks. The OCC is an independent bureau of the U.S. Department of the Treasury.

The ConnectLA team is THE broadband resource in Louisiana. The Office of Broadband Development & Connectivity is housed in the Louisiana Division of Administration and strives to alleviate the digital divide in Louisiana. It aims to coordinate federal, state, and municipal efforts in identifying best practices and executing tactics to close the digital divide by 2029.

The Governor’s Office of Homeland Security and Environmental Protection (GOHSEP)  works with local, State, Tribal, and Federal authorities; private-sector partners; and private nonprofits so that Louisiana can prepare for, prevent, respond to, recover from, and mitigate against future emergencies and disasters.

The mission of the Louisiana Department of Environmental Equality (LDEQ) is to provide service to the people of Louisiana through comprehensive environmental protection in order to promote and protect the health, safety, and welfare of residents.

The vision of the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) is to move Louisiana onward by delivering a safe and innovative multimodal transportation and infrastructure system that enhances mobility and economic opportunity.

The Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries (LDWF) is the state agency responsible for managing Louisiana’s renewable natural resources, including all wildlife and aquatic life.

Louisiana Economic Development is responsible for strengthening the state's business environment and creating a more vibrant Louisiana economy by cultivating jobs and economic opportunities for the people of Louisiana through nine integrated economic development strategies.

The Louisiana Office of Community Development (OCD) creates a safer and stronger Louisiana by leading the state's disaster recovery and long-term community resilience planning efforts with a great sense of urgency through innovation, partnerships, and best practices.

The Louisiana Watershed Initiative (LWI) coordinates funding, data, and resources among five state agencies to reduce flood risk through a watershed-based approach that respects the natural functions of our watersheds. LWI pursues a holistic approach to watershed management, one that goes beyond conventional mitigation measures and incorporates nature-based solutions.

The vision of the Louisiana Workforce Commission is to make Louisiana the best place in the country to get a job or grow a business, and its goal is to be the country's best workforce agency. The LWC is ideally positioned and structured to support and serve Louisiana’s employers, job seekers, and workforce partners.

The Acadia Parish Chamber of Commerce strives to serve and be an advocate for the business community, to enhance the economic, civic, and cultural environment, and to advance the quality of life in Acadia Parish. The Acadia Parish Chamber is a Louisiana Accredited Chamber of Commerce and has twice won Louisiana Small Chamber of the Year.

The mission of the Evangeline Chamber of Commerce is to be a business advocate and to promote economic progress for the betterment of their communities, municipalities, and parish.

The Iberia Industrial Development Foundation (IDF) serves as the primary facilitator of economic development activities for the Iberia Parish, connecting current and potential businesses with the abundance of resources the area has to offer.

The Lafayette Economic Development Authority (LEDA) works with businesses as they make decisions to start, expand, or relocate to Lafayette, Louisiana, and the surrounding communities. LEDA strives to grow the community’s business base for future development and diversification through innovative collaborations with businesses, government, and education.

Louisiana State University Eunice (LSUE) is is a comprehensive, two-year institution providing access and education to enrich the lives of its diverse students. Located just southwest of Eunice along Louisiana Highway 755 on a 196-acre tract of land, LSUE's philosophy is committed to the prinicipal that individuals have the opportunity to devolop themselves through education commensurate with their capabilities and interest. The University strives to provide educational programs and related services which reflect and respond to the diversified interest, talents, needs, and goles of its student population.

One Acadiana is a bolder, re-energized version of the Greater Lafayette Chamber of Commerce. They are a business-led, privately-funded economic development organization serving the nine-parish (county) area in South Louisiana. Their vision is to make the region one of the most sought-after places in the South for emerging businesses and professional talent.

St. Landry Economic Development (SLED) plays an integral role in “Moving St. Landry Parish Forward” by creating and implementing a forward-looking economic and community development strategy. Their initiatives are designed to bring growth and prosperity to St. Landry Parish businesses, communities, its clients, and youth. 

St. Martin Economic Development Authority (SMEDA) is an active participant in the St. Martin business community, working closely with area Chambers of Commerce, state officials, parish officials, municipalities, and other regional economic development organizations to provide assistance and incentive support for local businesses.

South Louisiana Community College (SLCC) was created in 1997 as a comprehensive, multi campus public two-year institution of higher edication. It was designated to serve the Acadiana Region which comprises the eight parishes of Acadia, Evangeline, Iberia, Lafayette, St. Landry, St. Matin, St. Mary and Vermilion. Currently SLCC offers mroe that 50 programs, leading to associates degrees, technical diplomas, and certificates, to 15,000 students annually.

The University of Louisiana at Lafayette (UL), the second-largest university in the state with over 19,000 students, offers bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral degrees. UL holds the Carnegie Classification of Institutions of Higher Learning’s elite R1 designation, ranking them among the nation’s top public and private research institutions. Their academic offerings range from the humanities to hard sciences, and UL is among the nation’s leaders in areas such as computer science, environmental biology, and nursing.

The mission of Vermilion Economic Development Alliance (VEDA) is to facilitate business growth, retention, and expansion and serve as the contact for industries interested in relocating to Vermilion Parish, Louisiana.
