What is the Fiber to the Home Initiative?

The Fiber to Home Initiative is a project to make broadband internet available to all residents and businesses in Acadiana. Internet access is a critical service that significantly impacts education, job opportunities, telemedicine, emergency response, and e-commerce.

How is Fiber to Home being funded?

APC, in partnership with Iberia Parish Government, St. Martin Parish Government, Lafayette City-Parish Consolidated Government, and LUS Fiber, has received funding for expanded fiberoptic service through the US National Telecommunications Information Administration.

APC is also working with the State Office of Broadband Development and Connectivity, Connect LA, and the State of Louisiana’s Broadband for Everyone in Louisiana Commission to ensure that our region is able to make the most of federal broadband resources.
