Evangeline

Acadia Parish was founded from parts of St. Landry Parish in 1886. The parish's name was derived from the former French colony of Acadia in Canada. Residents and visitors can shop for antiques, browse museums, visit historical opera houses, and enjoy authentic Cajun food.
