APC Plans for Critical Infrastructure Development

As a federally designated Economic Development District, the Acadiana Planning Commission goes through the process of creating a Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy (CEDS) every five years. Through that process, we work with stakeholders to determine what infrastructure is necessary to support current and future demand. Regionally, people will see the fruits of that process when roads are expanded, etc., using federal dollars. But that’s not the only type of infrastructure planning we do. APC also has the initiative to bring broadband to every home and business and will plan for utility infrastructures, such as water, gas and electricity expansion.
